Lay back, act natural, and let's take some pictures

Things I need to know...

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Have fun and relax! It's as simple as that!

What should I wear?

Basically, think about how you want to see yourself - sharing online and with family. Be comfortable because I want you to be happy and have fun!

Neutral or earthy tones work best - and no, that doesn't mean just white, brown, black, or gray. All colors have a neutral tone. Mustard yellow or burnt orange are neutral and would look beautiful in photos.

What to stay away from:

* Bold, busy, and crazy patterns
* The colors that tend to mess with skin tones: bright orange, reds, and pinks - so instead of red, think maroon

Here are some outfit suggestions:

* Denim and a white top
* Solid colored pants or shorts
* Polo shirts...think business casual
* Suits, if you would like a more professional look
* White dresses
* Sweater & pants/skirt/shorts
* College shirts (bring college banner or flags)
* Sports attire, team jersey, or that special medal for the particular sport you play as an option
* Don't forget shoes...or accessories like jewelry, hats, letterman jackets, or belts
* Make sure clothes are wrinkle free (iron or steam beforehand)
* Be careful with sheer tops/ skirts and bring proper undergarments.

Session Prep Tips

Plan your outfits in advance! Do that stuff that we don't like to ever do — like ironing and put all your outfits together the night before to ensure you have everything you need.

Bring nude bras for light tops & black bras for dark tops.

Wrinkles! Keep clothes on hangers!

Yes, don't pick your blemishes — it will make them look much worse. I try to get everything like that edited!

Nail care — trim any hangnails and file any snags.

About spray on tans — if you must, do just a very light layer, otherwise you may wind up looking rather orange.

Haircuts, in particular for the guys, should be done well in advance (not the day before) to allow for growth in case of mistakes and to avoid that just "chopped" look with tan lines.

Don't forget belts, jewelry, and the different shoes needed for each outfit.

Prep kit — may sound silly but things happen! Pack safety pins/bobby pins, super glue, makeup for touchups, chapstick, lotion, hairspray, a mirror, and a brush or comb.

Lastly, I want to honor your personality, so bring accessories! Hats, sports items, and flowers are just a few ideas! Just let me know if you want to bring a pet as some locations may have some issues.

How many pictures will I receive?

I believe in digital packages vs prints for the convenience and ease of transfer. This also allows you, as the client, the ability to shop with a third party print company for the product of your choice... at a price far cheaper than I can provide.

However... if you would like for me to provide prints, which I most certainly can do, please let me know.

Are you available outside of Houston?

Absolutely! I love to travel!
Just keep in mind that travel expenses will be added to your package.
